About Me

I know what it's like to hide work that matters
Hi, I'm Debbie, and for years my creative writing lived quietly in notebooks and hidden files, a parallel life I never shared publicly.

I told myself I'd publish it 'at some point' (if at all). What I was actually doing was what so many of us do: keeping what matters hidden away while mistaking invisibility for safety.

Recently, my first short story was published in a literary journal and I'm putting the finishing touches to a novel that I've been putting off for years.

I help people break the pattern of hiding their most meaningful work.
Why I do this work
I understand the emotional reality of staying invisible. The waiting to feel ready. The endless refining. The fear that what you have to offer isn't good enough.

Before my short story was published, I spent over 20 years working in digital transformation, content leadership, and editorial roles across law, government, education, finance, and pharma. I helped organisations become more visible and more accessible.

But I wasn't doing that for myself.

I navigated redundancy, reinvention, and career changes, each time reshaping not just my work, but my sense of self. And through it all, my creative work stayed hidden.

It took coaching to help me understand what was behind all the hiding and that staying invisible was a form of silencing parts of myself. Now I help others step forward, not just with creative projects, but with any meaningful work they've kept invisible.
My coaching approach
My work is grounded in a calm, reflective space, that goes deeper.
Together, we’ll:
🟢 Understand what the hiding is really protecting
🟢 Identify the stories keeping you small and invisible
🟢 Build your ability to take action (even when fear sets in)
🟢 Navigate the vulnerability of being visible with your truth
I'm in this alongside you; showing up, being visible and doing the work.
Experience
I'm a professionally trained coach with in-depth experience across digital transformation and content strategy.

I've led teams, navigated restructures, and supported professionals through identity shifts and reinvention. My experience of supporting families through significant change adds emotional depth to my practice.

But what qualifies me most to do this work is that I've lived it. I know what it's like to hide something meaningful. And I know what it takes to finally step forward.

Based in London, I work with clients across the UK and internationally, both online and in person.
